AWARDS SEASON

The long list for The Man Booker Prize, one of the most prestigious literary awards, was announced this past week. On that list is The Thousand Autumns of Jacob De Zoet by David Mitchell. We have no more U.K. editions, but we do have signed first U.S. editions. $26.00

The John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger 2010 short list was also announced. Those of you who are in the British Crime Club have signed first editions of a couple of these.

We do have just a few of nominee The Holy Thief by William Ryan left. $58.00.

SIGNED COPIES NOW AVAILABLE

Kings of the Earth is Jon Clinch’s second book (after Finn). It tells the story of the Proctor brothers who live quietly in upstate New York until one of them dies in his sleep and the other two are suspected of murder. An Unclassifiable Club selection. $26.00

Carl Hiaasen stopped by to sign his latest, Star Island. It features twenty-two year old Cherry Pye, a pop star since she was fourteen who is about to attempt a comeback from her latest drug-and-alcohol disaster. It also features Ann DeLusia , Cherry’s double when Cherry is "indisposed" who is kidnapped by obsessed paparazzo Bang Abbott. $26.95
